Quick and Easy Angel Meditation
I believe that having a daily spiritual practise of some sort has been of huge benefit to me. As a busy working mother its not always possible to sit like a pretzel meditating for hours every day (or at all, re: the pretzel business). Many of us would be more likely to meditate if we believed that there was a quick way. Although I do like the expression, if you don’t have time to meditate for an hour, you need to meditate for two hours.
That being said, it’s great to start somewhere. Sometimes I have brought my spiritual practise with me, meditating on-the-go or using mindfulness while washing dishes. You name it, I’ve probably given it a try. Nowadays I love to start my day with a meditation, I vary how I do this since I am someone who loves variety to stay interested.
The benefits of meditation are too many to fit in this short article, but include:
A sense of peace and calm
A clearer mind, easier to find solutions to challenges
A sense of wellbeing
Physical health benefits
Reduced anxiety and stress
I recorded a short video today for busy people who are experiencing the ‘no time to meditate’ thing but would like to feel better and raise their vibrational frequency. People who are craving an angel connection but can’t seem to shoehorn it in anywhere. You don’t need anything except internet to watch it, I have even lit a candle for you.
Start with the Breath and Body Awareness
I think its helpful when meditating to bring our awareness to the body and the breath. Bringing our attention inside. Feel your body supported by the chair. Notice as the outbreath becomes the inbreath, and outbreath again in an ongoing seamless flow of life through you.
Visualise Light
I like to visualise when I meditate. Not everyone does this. I find it helpful in feeling more connected to the angels. The angels are often associated with a golden light, which is why I use this colour in the video.
Don’t force thoughts away or get hung up on what may be distracting you
If we can just let go enough to be with whatever our experience is, it will help us to meditate. It’s natural to feel distracted by thoughts, sounds and the like. Just be aware with compassion, then allow the mind to gently let it go, repeating this as many times as you need to.
Bring in the Angels
The angels love when we engage them in our meditation practise. You can invoke the angels in your meditation, like I do in the video when I address the guardian angel and Archangel Michael. You can meditate on an angel image, card, figurine.
What’s the difference between prayer and meditation?
Generally speaking, when we pray we are asking, and when we meditate we are open to receiving.
Meditation is not the only way to feel better and increase your angel connection. Angel EFT is another fantastic way, see my other blogs and my book for more about this. I also have a free angel visualisation if you haven’t seen this already, click here to download it and listen in your own time.
